Improved bounded-real-lemma representation and H∞ control of systems with polytopic uncertainties

چکیده
This paper concerns the problem of the boundedreal-lemma representation and H∞ control of linear systems with real convex polytopic uncertainties. In order to use a parameter-dependent Lyapunov function for a system with polytopic uncertainties, the derivative term for the state, which is in the derivative of the Lyapunov function, is reserved; and free weighting matrices are used to express the relationship between the terms of the system equation. This yields a new LMI approach to bounded-real-lemma representation. In addition, this method is extended to the design of a state-feedback controller that solves the H∞ control problem. Numerical examples demonstrate that the proposed method is effective and is an improvement over previous ones.

An Equivalent LMI Representation of Bounded Real Lemma for Continuous-Time Systems
An equivalent linear matrix inequality LMI representation of bounded real lemma BRL for linear continuous-time systems is introduced. As to LTI system including polytopic-type uncertainties, by using a parameter-dependent Lyapunov function, there are several LMIs-based formulations for the analysis and synthesis of H∞ performance. All of these representations only provide us with different suff...
متن کاملRobust State-Feedback H-infinity Control For Discrete-Time Descriptor Systems With Norm-Bounded Parametric Uncertainties
This paper deals with a state feedback H∞ control problem for linear time-invariant discrete-time descriptor systems with norm-bounded parametric uncertainties. To this end, bounded real lemma (BRL) is extended on the class of uncertain descriptor systems. The control design procedure based on the conditions of BRL for uncertain descriptor systems is proposed. Numerical example is included to i...
متن کاملAn Alternative to the Youla Parameterization for H∞ Controller Design
All H∞ controllers of a SISO LTI system are parameterized thanks to the relation between the Bounded Real Lemma and the Positive Real Lemma. This new parameterization shares the features of Youla parameterization, namely the convexity of H∞ norm constraints for the closed-loop transfer functions. However, by contrast to Youla parameterization, it can deal with any controller order and any contr...
متن کاملDelay-dependent finite-horizon time-varying bounded real lemma for uncertain linear neutral systems
A bounded real lemma (BRL) is presented here for continuous-time, finite-horizon, time-varying linear neutral systems with parametric uncertainties entering all the matrices of the system representation. The lemma uses a solution of a set of matrix inequalities by employing a descriptor model transformation of the system. The conditions which guarantee disturbance attenuation are dependent on t...
متن کاملH∞-control of linear state-delay descriptor systems: an LMI approach
For continuous-time, linear descriptor system with state-delay a H∞-control problem is solved. Sufficient conditions for delay-dependent/delay-independent stability and L2-gain analysis are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A bounded real lemma and state-feedback solutions are derived for systems which may contain polytopic parameter uncertainties. The filtering problem is...
